Barnegat High School Ratings & Reviews

The student has a choice to do what they like with their education and the teachers respect that. However they offer the tools they may need to improve their efforts and I believe that is what a student needs to prosper. In high school you’re expected to take responsibility of your own learning. Teachers won’t hold your hand but they’re always glad to help and I have never had anyone deny opportunities or create issues ever while in this district. Some students are still finding themselves and although the school appears to be doing their best I believe there can be improvement yet counselors can’t read minds and can only try to outreach to those who need the help. Lastly, for security we are one the safest rated schools in the State and fully can support that and I haven’t seen bullying.

I was supposed to be here at this school but I had to move, this schools year would’ve been better if I was there, I miss my friends, my close friends I miss very much I wanna go back, it’s been a month since I moved and I keep crying thinking about it.

Not bad, did ok with Covid but basically gave up and barely got homework, pep rally’s are booty but overall vibe isn’t bad. Sucks during the winter but that’s just because of the weather. Warmer months of school are always better

I would have to rate the high school with a 1 or less the worst out of every school in the state of New Jersey something should have been done by now but it has not.

GreatSchools Ratings are based on student performance on state tests, progress over time, and college readiness, in addition to how effectively schools serve students from different racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average). Ratings and reviews help parents compare schools. We encourage parents to also visit schools, ask questions, learn about programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process. Data provided by © 2025. All rights reserved.
