My son is in fifth grade. He has been there since kindergarten and has no complaints. The teachers are great and the school is clean and inviting. No complaints at all!

It's a nice school. One of the newest in the area. My son loves the programs offered but it's become apparent that this school doesn't value it black and brown students the same as their counterparts.

"While CHB has good teaching staff, the current Principal is simply terrible and unfortunately under her supervision, it has become an institution, that preaches Anti-bullying, but does neither practice nor enforce it.The experience my child had there, was traumatizing to the extend that it was not even the fear of being ridiculed and mistreated anymore, but rather the repercussion of the Principal, who believes that children that are bullied also need to be reprimanded, if they defend themselves. Now that my child is in middle school, it really amazes me, how easily any difficult situation regarding bullying can be resolved, by simply stating and enforcing: ""Bullying behavior is not allowed at the school and if it occurs - there will be repercussions.”The behavior is addressed not the interaction between two individuals. Saying sorry to someone and then 20 minutes later bullying the same child again, knowing that there can not be constant oversight, renders the measly attempt of the Principal's anti-bullying efforts mute. The CHB principal is ineffective and is in desperate need to attend continuing education courses in handling ""bullying situation"", but most important she needs to learn how to be empathetic! A mom, who should have taken her child out of CHB way sooner!"

I have two children at CHB; one in 5th grade, the other in 3rd. They've both been at the school since kindergarten. The leadership at Bullock sets a fantastic tone for the faculty and the larger community, creating a learning environment where young scholars are challenged but also supported. The overall community ethic, built on the acronym C.A.R.E.S., also instills a reverence in students for kindness, respect, and personal responsibility. This school makes me proud not only of my kids' academic development, but also of their developing ethical and social values--a balance that I would hope all schools aspire to achieve.

GreatSchools Ratings are based on student performance on state tests, progress over time, and college readiness, in addition to how effectively schools serve students from different racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average). Ratings and reviews help parents compare schools. We encourage parents to also visit schools, ask questions, learn about programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process. Data provided by © 2025. All rights reserved.
