In my experience, I have seen children whose parents are involved in the school like PTSA and attend parent/teacher conferences progress in a positive way. When the child learns that the teacher and parent want the best for them, they do well. Some bulling happens, but if the staff is informed, they usually handle the situation and get all parents involved.With more parent involvement and support for the rules at the school there will be less problems and test scores will improve.

This school is horrible! My daughter goes to this school and she has been bullied here by not 1 but three girls. She was also threatened. The worst part is the school took no actions and and did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue DON’T GO HERE!

Columbia Middle School is one of the best middle schools in Dekalb and I'm speaking from experience. I went there for 3 years and it taught me not only how to read and write but how to deal with real life situations including cooking! Columbia has not only led me to be in the top 5% of my graduating high school class but also created another successful African American man from Dekalb County.
