My child has never felt so unsafe in her life until she went to this school I do not recommend this school.

They go through the students personal phones and can not control THC pen issue amongst students. And don’t notify you of student grade completion until it’s too late.

Wish there was a 0 star rating! The worst in the neighborhood. No respect is expected or required from students. No communication when requested help for my child who was being harassed. no lockers, leaving kids to cary large heavy backpacks of laptop and books around all day. outside in the heat for much of the day.

"If your child is organized, confident, self motivated and needs no help, your child would do well at any school. If your child needs help of any kind this may not be a good choice. There are some teachers and staff that will help but they are not the majority. I have sent two children to this school and I regret it. The methods of teaching there have caused children with curious minds to dread going to school. Science- One child spends the majority of the class copying notes off the board. They rarely have intellectual discussions about science, they rarely do experiments. This method sucks the curiosity right out of children. That child is getting an A in note taking. That child now hates science. The other child does experiments and seems to like science still. Math- They use an automated grading system for one child but sometimes if the correct answer is typed in with an extra character or is a little different (5 fl oz instead of 5 oz) it will be marked incorrect. That child has spent hours agonizing over why the system said the answer was wrong only to find out the hours spent at home were wasted. The answer given was correct. Now if the answer shows as incorrect, that child does not care. Why bother? Is the attitude. The other child occasionally has math homework problems that only have incorrect answers as options. This child's teacher will admit the error but why do this to a kid? Check the problems first!School counseling- Not sure what they do. We requested help. No help given. They suggest that children with issues at school use private insurance to get help with learning disabilities or any other issues at school as they don't really do that sort of thing? WHAT DO THEY DO THEN?What happens when issues are brought up with the principal? You get a canned answer of, ""Oh I get it! We are all in this together, it's rough"" Then nothing happens. If you bring up something like- this teacher accepts late work until the end of the quarter, this one does not accept late work and this one accepts late work at half credit, the response is that he supports whatever the teachers want? How are we ALL IN THIS TOGETHER when we are not even all on the same page? A kid can have the misfortune of getting all teachers who do not accept late work and fail several classes while another child can have all teachers accepting late work and have better grades as a result."

GreatSchools Ratings are based on student performance on state tests, progress over time, and college readiness, in addition to how effectively schools serve students from different racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average). Ratings and reviews help parents compare schools. We encourage parents to also visit schools, ask questions, learn about programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process. Data provided by © 2025. All rights reserved.
