Heritage School Ratings & Reviews

I have had two kids pass through the doors of Heritage Elementary School and both had a wonderful experience. Their teachers were fantastic, the options for extracurricular activities were great, and I believe the staff truly cared about their well-being and growth, both educationally and socially.

Hands down the best school that my child has attended. The principal is amazing. She has built a great team of professionals. She is very involved and helpful. Our teacher was awesome. The class had the best year ever.

4th grade was GREAT for my son at Heritage. His teacher was fantastic, and the student teacher was great, they made a great team, and my son completely enjoyed going to school everyday. 5th grade has proven to be a bit different. The team teaching class he has, with 64 children in it, seems to be proving to be too hard for one of the teachers. Assignments are misplaced (by the teacher), wrong grades given to the wrong children, repeatedly. He spends most of his time trying to find the assignment he turned in, that she misplaced. The other teacher seems to be ok. This year has my son quite frustrated. The principle seems like a very good guy. I have only ran into him a few times, and each time, very pleasant, down to earth. My biggest issue is having a teacher that clearly can't get a grasp with so many kids and team teaching. I am glad to see parents more involved this year, I was room mom last year, and was a bit shocked at the lack of parental involvement.

This is my child's first year at this school and we love it! The teacher has truly challenged him in many ways. I know that she differentiates instruction - which for me, was a must. He has 7 teachers and they all know him by first and last name. Every time I have seen the principal he has greeted my son by his first name, as well. This has truly been an awesome experience so far for him. I can't think of anything that I would change.

GreatSchools Ratings are based on student performance on state tests, progress over time, and college readiness, in addition to how effectively schools serve students from different racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average). Ratings and reviews help parents compare schools. We encourage parents to also visit schools, ask questions, learn about programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process. Data provided by © 2025. All rights reserved.
