This is a wonderful neighborhood school with highly dedicated and experienced teachers. The principal is awesome!

Lee cultivates a close-knit parent community, in part due to the absence of busing. Parents drop off and pick up - leading to a lot of interaction with the teachers and one another. The PTA raises a lot of money for the school which fund supplies and campus improvements. The building and campus are both old, but charming. The low equity ratings on this site reflect, in part, enrollment from an orphanage in district. The staff does take special care to reach these students but often they are coming from seriously disadvantaged backgrounds.

My family LOVES Lee Elementary! When my daughter was having a tough time reading the school stood with her! From her teacher to the principal they spent 1 on 1 time assisting her. She’s progressed tremendously, and I’m beyond thankful! Little sister will be joining this coming school year, and we’re excited!

"While I am not always particularly impressed with the approaches to ""standard"" subjects such as math, the community at Lee is simply fantastic, and the social emotional learning here - which when it comes down to it, is really the crucial thing for an elementary school - is just amazing. We love Lee, including all teachers and the leadership!"

GreatSchools Ratings are based on student performance on state tests, progress over time, and college readiness, in addition to how effectively schools serve students from different racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average). Ratings and reviews help parents compare schools. We encourage parents to also visit schools, ask questions, learn about programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process. Data provided by © 2025. All rights reserved.
