This school was very disappointing as a parent. The principal Andrea Peterson was very condescending and demeaning. She has no care for families and offered little solutions regarding children with behavior issues. The attitudes toward children of minorities was appalling from the librarian to the teachers. My family does not feel supported at this school and does not recommend others.

My son has sustained multiple injuries and physical harm from other students, resulting in multiple bruises. The teacher immediately sent him to the principal, Andrea Peterson for a report, I was never called. She assessed his bruises and made no attempt to call me. I only learned of the incident from him and later his teacher, who I thanked. I had to call the principal to speak with her and she had to be reminded of the situation to even remember it, she was condescending, full of excuses “poorly staffed” and downright uncaring and unsympathetic. This person should not be a principal. Period. Run from this school. When I reported to the superintendent of the poorly handled event, I was not impressed with him either.

"If I could give the school a zero I would. Horrible to work with. The principals are condescending and demeaning. The exact words used by the Principal ""you can go to the school district, but nothing will happen, they will send you back to me"". They love to make everything look ""cute"" and ""just so sweet"", in reality if your child is on any sort of resources they do not fit the ""perfect child mold"" and will be treated horribly. Both principals have both stated that parents are all talk and will take not legal action because a the end of the day they can afford it, and while in some cases that maybe true, the fact that they state that and operate under that assumption tell you exactly what type of leadership is in place. I have never experienced education like this."

My daughter has neurodiversity, she has learning disabilities and this school is ill prepared to make appropriate accommodations for those with ADHD, ODD and dyslexia. My child was allowed to be bullied and physically assaulted, nobody even told me she had been hurt by another student until I inquired about the bruising. The teacher was incredibly unprepared and the principal is condescending. I can see this school does not actually care about students with cognitive impairments. I pulled my child from this school and will not be returning. An absolute disgrace and everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves because they failed my daughter.

GreatSchools Ratings are based on student performance on state tests, progress over time, and college readiness, in addition to how effectively schools serve students from different racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average). Ratings and reviews help parents compare schools. We encourage parents to also visit schools, ask questions, learn about programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process. Data provided by © 2025. All rights reserved.
