As someone with extensive experience dealing with the large ISDs, this review takes into account the issues that public schools typically face. The immediate feel when visiting this campus is one of a carefully-cultivated culture. The kids are not loud while transitioning, administration is typically out and about interacting with kids throughout the day, and the respect among students and staff is refreshing. You can tell the kids have a great relationship with staff and leadership by watching the interactions. This school feels like a big family. Class sizes are much better than the ridiculous teacher to student ration found in many public schools, which helps teachers to keep kids from falling through the cracks. This particular network of public charter schools does NOT accept students with a previous record of repeated discipline issues, which is helpful in so many positive ways. Teachers can teach and leadership does not have to spend much time with discipline. The STEAM program is in full force, with AI instruction, coding that begins in Kindergarten, robotics, computer science, and programming certifications. Kids can earn their Associate's degree before graduating for FREE, and can now earn a Bachelor's (PAID FOR BY PTAA) if they put their minds to it. I highly recommend taking a tour of this hidden gem in North Dallas. Their marketing mainly consists of word of mouth by current families, which says a great deal about this school. Consider taking a look if you're fed up with over-testing, overcrowding, bullying, and cookie-cutter approaches to education.
