The teachers at Poinciana High are amazing.

The staff at the school needs so much improvement!!!You can't get someone to answer the phones but I've been told that they will sit at their desk talking more than they are working. It's very difficult to get a response from anyone there and I've called several of their extensions and emailed two of the staff. It's like they're not interested in what they are supposed to be doing. My niece is now without parents since my brother passed and I'm in the process of adopting her. She is living with my wife and I in a different county now so we need to have her records transferred. They refuse to understand that she has to legal guardian until our custody papers, which are already filed in the courts and will not send her records so she can start school. The school she's supposed to be currently attending has accepted the same papers I sent to Poinciana High. They have been trying to help us while Poinciana wants to say it's not good enough. They refuse to understand the situation. My niece is missing her first weeks of her first year in highschool and it's because the staff at Poinciana doesn't care.

GreatSchools Ratings are based on student performance on state tests, progress over time, and college readiness, in addition to how effectively schools serve students from different racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average). Ratings and reviews help parents compare schools. We encourage parents to also visit schools, ask questions, learn about programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process. Data provided by © 2025. All rights reserved.
