We moved to Belmont from south Louisiana 8 months ago and our experience with this school and the community here has been awesome. My son is in the band and the instructor is devoted. He loves all his teachers. This being said the schools here are on block schedule which we love. The only downfall we have run into from our experience due to the block scheduling and the size of the school is its pretty impossible for a student to be both fully involved in band and JROTC. My son was very active in both of these groups at his old school, on the drill teams in JROTC and in Marching Band, Jazz Band. Here you pretty much have to choose one or the other. The upside to this is the teams are awesome. The kids aren't spread too thin. I am very glad we found this school, and thanks to everyone that has taken the time to review on this site as you are the people that made our decision to move to this city and for my son to attend school here.

Great school with a lot of pride and tradition. Just attend any event at the school and see how well the local community shows up! Over 7 million dollars in scholarships awarded to the class of 2010!
